Testimonies: My name is David. This is how my life has become a lot better since I joined Casadh. I went into treatment in 2019 for drink and drug abuse. I left the treatment centre in Athy on the 20th of September and joined Casadh on the 23rd. It really has been the best thing I have done so far in my recovery. At the beginning of the programme, I suffered with mental health problems and was tired of suffering in silence, so I told one of the staff members there and everyone became involved in helping me to get well and they were all amazing. I’ve become really good friends with 3 of the lads in my group and we do a lot together. I am now 24 months clean and sober and I’ll be starting college in September. Without the help of Casadh, I would never have dreamed of going to college and because of this, I will always hold a special place in my heart for them.
